Sussex Cyclists is lending its support of the Wheels For Meals Bicycle Ride to help raise funds for both organizations. Although this is primarily one of three major annual fundraising events for Meals On Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth, Sussex Cyclists will receive a portion of the proceeds for the club's first sponsored Event Ride - the Sussex Metric Century and Sussex Century Rides - that will benefit our benevolence fund and invested in our local communities. 

We have helped with the event planning, publicity, route planning and other aspects of the ride (including route marking taking place this Friday), in order to help Meals On Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth raise funds to continue its work, we need volunteers to the day to the event in order to continue providing the participants with an excellent, safe and enjoyable ride experience. 

We need volunteers for the following positions on Saturday, August 20:

 1-2  Participant Parking  Direct Participants to Parking Location  6:30 - 10:00am
 1-2  Route Information  Provide Riders with Route Information and assist MOW volunteers with cycling specific event information (located in Event Check-in area)  6:30 - 10:00am
 1  Ride Starter  Provide Riders with Ride Safety information (located Route Start Location) 
 6:45 - 10:00am
 up to 3  Ride Marshals  Safety Riders for the "Family Friendly" 9.2 mile route (ride interspersed with Participants) 
 10:00am - 12:30pm
 3  Sweep Riders

 One for each for:

100 mile route



63 mile route



25 mile route

(Insure all Riders have completed their routes)

8:00am -

9:30am - 12:30pm

Rest Stop 1: Georgetown Cheer Center



Rest Stop 2: Ellendale Town Hall

 ?  Route Safety  Direct Riders at Critical Intersections (TBD)  varies
 4  SAG Support  2 Vehicles with Driver and Navigator dispatched to provide limited mechanical support and if necessary transport at least   2 riders and their bicycles back to start/end (Located in static positions until dispatched by MOW volunteers to specific locations) 
 7:00am - 3:00pm
