Loopin' the Library
Bike Safety & Maintenance Station
At Lewes Library - 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Among the Kick-Off events for the Month Long "Loopin the Library" will be a “Bike Maintenance and Safety Station” hosted by Sussex Cyclists. We can use a few volunteers to help with this event.
We do many of the things we do at the Summer Safety Stops, along with demonstrating how to make a bicycle and rider safer. Proper helmet fitting, wearing bright clothing, using lights on the bike, etc. We may also demonstrate some simple skills as flat repair, brake adjustments, etc.
We may also have a "Bike & Rider Safety Checklist" so that riders can evaluate their bicycles, the clothing they wear while riding, and their knowledge of safe riding rules.
We need a few volunteers to help out. We will set up at 9:00 am to be ready for the 10:00 am start. The event ends at 1:00 PM.
Even if you can't volunteer to help with this event, make plans to visit the library during this event.
Also, we encourage you to register and ride.
