Members of Sussex Cyclists have been invited to the ribbon cutting celebrating the completion of Phase 8 of the Georgetown to Lewes Trail.

This event marks the completion of the low-stress bicycle connection from downtown Georgetown to Sussex Academy and new county park.
The $913,294project included the construction of a 10’ wide shared-use path from the Georgetown Little League Park to Airport Road along the north side of the existing active railroad line. The Georgetown to Lewes trail is now 8 miles in length and 47% finished. There are four additional phases. Once complete the multi-modal pathway will be almost 17 miles in length.
