Distance:                   20 Miles on paved, 
crushed stone and/or manufactured wood boardwalk; OPTIONAL (after returning to the Lewes Library parking lot) additional 11 miles on paved trail.


Speed:                         Average 12 mph trails

Ride Description:     Route varies and may use the trails in Cape Henlopen State Park, including the Gordon's Pond and Junction and Breakwater Trails.   Parts of these trails are crushed stone and/or manufactured wood boardwalk. Ideal terrain for a hybrid, trail or gravel bike with tires 28mm or wider. Be prepared to use extra caution on some surfaces if using a road bike.   The ride may also use the paved Lewes-Georgetown trail and/or roads in Sussex County.  Effort is made by the Ride Leader(s) to select routes with minimum automobile traffic.

RSVP:                           Limited to a total of 10 riders - a waiting list available in case there are cancellations. YOU CAN NOT RIDE WITHOUT REGISTERING IN ADVANCE OF THE RIDE - NO EXCEPTIONS.  APPROVAL TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLUB RIDE IS ALWAYS AT THE RIDE LEADER'S DISCRETION - IF YOU ARE ASKED NOT TO PARTICIPATE OR TO LEAVE THE RIDE, PLEASE COMPLY. If you have questions before you register or are not sure you have a reserved spot, please contact me (see signature block below).

Ride Cancellation:     I will communicate by no later than one hour Before scheduled Start Time if the Ride is cancelled due to weather, road conditions or any other reason.


COVID-19 and CRASHES: Both are real and possible dangers of cycling in today’s world.
If you decide to ride with us you do so at your own risk. 
Bring a face covering in compliance with State of Delaware’s Social Distancing Requirements. Riding with face covering is RECOMMENDED WHEN RIDING ON TRAILS because we generally pass within 6’ of each other.
