The ride will start promptly at 7 p.m. behind the Wawa on Coastal Highway (south). CyclIsts are asked to come to the starting point at 6:30 to sign the ride waiver and for preparatory remarks.
We will have a State Police escort at the head of the ride and at the rear. Riders will use the shoulder to the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal where they will loop under the bridge and then head north to return to the start.
Sussex Cyclists Michael Tyler is the local organizer of the ride.There is no entrance fee, no sponsor or rules regarding the kind of bicycles or who can participate. It is open to all cyclists. Cyclists requirements: all must wear helmets, ride no faster than 12 miles per hour and in SILENCE to memorialize cyclists who have died or have been injured in cycling accidents with motor vehicles.
