We almost always (conditions permitting) ride in a DOUBLE PACELINE.
It is strongly recommended that you have the route (preferably in navigation format on your bike computer, or alternatively, on your cell phone if you have a handle bar mount) in case you are dropped and have to make it back to ride start on your own.

Sussex Cyclists Wine Tasting Event

We're excited to invite you to our first-ever Sussex Cyclists wine tasting event! Wine expert and Sussex Cyclists member Jim Frutrell will indulge us in a guided tasting of some of his favorite wines. It promises to be an evening filled with great company, interesting wines, and delightful cheeses.
$25 per person includes the tasting of 4-5 wines. You are welcome to bring your own wine and snacks for the Social Hour that follows.

Registration is open for the 2024 Ocean to Bay Ride from Bethany Beach.
We have registered a team, and if you use the "Team Registration" option you can get a discount on the cost of the event. The regular cost and discount amount changes as we get closer to the event.
Our team for this event is open to Sussex Cyclists members as well as family and friends who may be riding with you.

A leap from pond-to-pond in central and southern Delaware. The courses are laid out to offer a unique look at the beautiful wet and dry scenery of central and lower Delaware. Ride routes are mostly flat. There are two rest stops for the full metric century ride and one for the half metric century. Rest room facilities, food and drink will be available at all stops and the finish. SAG support is provided.

On Saturday, June 22, 2024, Sussex Cyclists is supporting the Lewes-Rehoboth Meals on Wheels 7th Annual Jack O'Hollaren Wheels for Meals Bike Ride.
This email is to let you know that we will be seeking volunteers to help support the ride. Help will be needed for rest stops and SAG wagons on ride day, and to mark the routes the day before. More information will be provided as we get closer to the ride.
Please consider volunteering for this worthwhile event that benefits this great organization. I will be organizing the volunteers, so if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email me at any time.

To promote safety and relieve congestion, a staggered police escorted start based on distance is scheduled out of Dover:
7:00 am 100 mile riders 7:30 am 62 mile riders 8:00 am 50 mile riders 8:30 am 25 mile riders 9:00 am 16 mile riders
Leaving prior to your designated starting time is not recommended. Staggered start times are designed to reduce road congestion and ensure that rest stops are open at appropriate times. All participants must have completed their ride by 5 pm.
* Sussex Cyclist Riders are requested to be at Ride Start 15 minutes before the earliest start time for the route they are riding for a group picture and forming target average moving speed groups.
